Place-based writing for young people
A half-day workshop for adolescents and young adults interested in developing skills in translating place, Country, habitat or environment into words. Set on remnant native forest in the Chewton Bushlands, we will respond to the immediate surroundings before testing and sharing place-based writing prompts.
While most of the workshop will take place indoors, please note that unpaved paths are not wheelchair accessible.
This workshop is for ages 16-25 years. All levels of writing experience welcome. Includes morning tea.
When: Saturday, March 29th 2025, 9:00am-1:00pm
Where: Chewton Bushlands (private address will be shared on booking confirmation)
Cost: $230 full / $200 concession
Advice: Access to the location includes unsealed roads. Free parking onsite. Taxis available from Castlemaine.
