Melbourne Art Book Fair at CAM
The annual NGV Melbourne Art Book Fair spreads its program to include a regional appearance at Castlemaine Art Museum. I’ll be selling and signing editions of my books that have engaged with visual art in different ways, from ekphrasis to colonial history. Come and look at rooms of sellers featuring comics, artists books, local publishers and more in the gorgeous exhibition spaces of CAM.
MAINfm Make/Believe Outside Broadcast!
MAINfm will be making a live outside broadcast at the Castlemaine Farmers Market to celebrate National Volunteers Week - and my show, Make/Believe, will air at its usual 3-4pm time slot from the MAINFm van. Joining me for a special, al fresco edition of the show will be Maddie Mac from the Arts Folk program. We’ll be talking shit, playing tunes, pointing at people’s dogs and getting lackeys to fetch us fried donuts. Turn up from 10am for the whole day of market and radio picnic fun. A public showing/reading of work I’ve been making alongside visual artists at Watershed Studios, Galway. I was funded to undertake this residency by Regional Arts Victoria.
Modern Women Poetry Series
To accompany its House of Ideas: Modern Women exhibition, Heide Museum has partnered with Rabbit Books to produce a collection of new poems in response to artists and artworks in the exhibition. Anthology
My poem, ‘The race’ was commissioned for a new anthology, Borderless: A Transnational Anthology of Feminist Poetry edited by Saba Vasefi, Yvette Holt and Melinda Smith. The book is published by Recent Work Press.
