“Put aside your agenda” — Maureen Murdock, Myth-Making: Self-discovery and the timeless art of memoir.
Join a two-day masterclass with a small group of up to just 6 writers embarking on memoir or life-writing projects. This friendly, informal masterclass is designed for writers of any level who have an active memoir or life-writing project and are seeking to discuss some fresh approaches and critical input.
On the Saturday we will engage playfully with a set of memoir techniques to take a new view on your current approaches. On the Sunday we will reflect on these techniques in relation to your own project, and share work in progress as an advanced workshop discussion.
This class will take place in the unique country town of Castlemaine, Central Victoria. The venue is within the town centre, close to local accommodation, shops, cafes and bars, and parks. Morning and afternoon tea provided, with a break for you to enjoy a BYO lunch in the park or a bite from the local shops or eateries.
